A low cost White Light Velocity Meter providing Length and Speed measurement.
The VLM 200 Velocity Meter provides economic precise measurement without contact. Regardless of the material nature & surface, it determines length & speed for interfacing with automation systems.
An optical CCD sensor operating via an optical grid detects the movement of halogen illuminated material, generating a frequency through grid modulation proportional to the speed of the material. The measuring system is not effected by changes in the surface property and adjacent light sources.
Compact rugged construction and optional secondary enclosure accommodates mounting in confined area close to the process line. Completely self-contained with signal processing & power supply in one unit. Highly flexible in usage as numerous functions made available.
Straightforward to calibrate, the VLM 200 is easily installed and connected to existing processes, drives or data acquisition systems.
