The Trailfinder Scanner digitally monitors the position of the hot bar and provides an output proportional to the angular displacement of the product relative to adjustable parameters. It is provided with lens air wipe and water cooled mounting platform for lateral adjustment.

Whereas other scanners monitor the position of the product realtive to a preset threshold, the Trailfinder operates by control margin analysis to dertermine the hot bar's edge and hence operates independent of changes in background IR as a result of automatic supression.

Operates via Pinhole CCD Camera with optics focusing the image into single line array ensuring detection to a high resolution over the scanned vertical field. Incorporates automatic gain control, automatic shuttering and IR filter removing the visible spectrum.

Voltage or current outputs provided according to requirement, plus product presence outputs. Automatic electronic shutter and gain control incorporated, as well as remote self-check for simulating product.
