Flexible High Resolution Detection
The LX700 Width Gauges operate via intelligent, self-contained, Liner Scan Cameras utilising specialised, yet easily programmable Windows software (9x/NT/2000/XP) for identifying the width of the strip, hole or edge fault and edge wander in the passing strip. Once configured, the LX700 stores the parameters allowing for autonomous operation thereafter.
The LX700 family covers a series of Cameras with varying resolutions (pixel content up to 2048) and scan rates up to 35,000 scans/min, the choice of which is determined by the required scan width, accuracy or size of the pin holes relative to the line speed. Occasionally more than one camera is needed in order to meet accuracy requirements.
The LX700 utilises a backlight that is rated to IP65 for robustness and longevity that is mounted behind the passing product to enable detection.
The LX700 Gauges are modular, flexible high resolution detection system. With a series of interchangeable lenses and backlighting options available, various widths of product can be accommodated. In addition, incorporate up to three user-configurable defect alarms that can simultaneously detect for instance, cracks on either edge, holes in the product, or product being under or over-width and excessive side wander regardless of the line speed.
To be able to accommodate all these options, the cameras have built-in automatic gain control with anti-blooming that allows for changing light conditions on the line yet maintaining safe, accurate detection. This facility also allows these Gauges to be used on Hot Strip Lines without the use of backlighting.
These LX700 Gauges are the ideal solution where the user requires a low cost Gauge that is easily configurable on-site via the stand-alone camera units and software provided with each Gauge.
