LT200M Retro-Reflective Laser Sensor
Ideal replacement for photocells
The LT200M Retro-Reflect Laser Barrier operates via a linear laser spot beam that will transmit over a range of greater than 20m off a glass prism reflector. Having air purge and air/water cooling it enables precise detection of hot or cold product in hot difficult areas.
Is the ideal replacement for photocells of all types as the LT200M laser removes the need for alignment of Transmitters and Receiver or Reflector. Furthermore, as it operates via a fine visible laser beam, the products leading and trailing edges are detected to a high accuracy. Having a detection range of greater then 20m also means this laser can be mounted at a safe distance from the line, yet still provide highly reliable product detection.
The LT200M is fitted with special Infra Red filtering allowing it to operate close to the furnace door where it can be utilised as a presence detector. When used with a prism reflector, it is capable of detecting a product CSA of only 6mm. There is a range of reflectors for the LT200M with optional air purge and differing prism reflectors in cooled housings to prevent contamination and accommodate ambient temperatures of up to 600°C.
A continuous self-check facility with LED indication of the laser signal makes this Retro-Reflective Laser Sensor both highly accurate and easy to operate. Alignment of the LT200M is straightforward by use of a visible Class II Laser beam.
The LT200M’s AL6 aluminium housing is rated to IP66/DIN 89011 and supplied as standard with an air cooling chamber venting for air purge cooling. Without air purge cooling, the operating temperature is 40°C and with air purge this increases the operating temperatures to 60°C. Additional water cooling can be provided by means of water cooled radiator inside the chamber that will allow the LT200M to operate in temperatures as high as 80°C depending on period of exposure.
The LT200M connects to 24VDC and is supplied with two outputs. An 250VAC / 8A SPNO/SPNC Form C output relay, and both NPN & PNP 500mA transistor outputs.
