Detection of individual bars and tubes at extended range

The Series 310C Metal Detectors operate by generating a pulsed flux and monitoring its rate of collapse when a metal bar or tube passes over it.

The 310C Detectors are the ideal solution where the user needs to detect individual bars and tubes at a substantial range where Inductive sensors are inadequate.

This method of detection provides 3 times the range of Inductive Sensors and in addition, the Detector coils can be mounted close to surrounding by metalwork or secured within a protective steel enclosure without them effecting their operation. Furthermore, as the coil windings are PTFE insulated they can be used where the product is relatively high temperature.

The detector coils are provided either in ABS plastic cases or PTFE coil plates with glanded cable connection. Changes in ambient temperature do not influence the operating range.

Operational sensitivity levels are a factor of the product size and profile to be detected. Quotations are put forward which specify the expected sensitivity and range of the detector.
